What are the documents required for employee onboarding? FAQ Ivory Coast
Birth Certificate of the employee, CNPS N° Social Security, National Identity card, Marriage certificate if applicable, National Identity of the Employee’s Spouse, Birth Certificate of Employee’s Child/Children, Bank Account Attestation (less than 3 months old), CMU N° (the employee must apply for this themselves), Passport sized photographs of the employee, their spouse and child/children (this is for medical insurance coverage as it’s mandatory in Ivory Coast, Filled in health insurance medical questionnaire (to be used by the insurers for registration), A French Version of Employee’s CV. What is the notice period as per the law?
For the first five categories, the notice is from 1month to Four months, depending on the seniority of the employee in the company.
From the Sixth category to further, the notice is as of 1 month to 4 months, depending on the seniority the employee has cumulated in the company.

To this end, the employer must:
- Submit the proposed dismissal for authorization to the local Inspector of Labor and Social inspector, who will make his decision known within 15 days of receipt of the
receipt of the request. - Consult employee representatives for their opinion at least 8 days prior to the notice of dismissal;
- Communicate the list of dismissed workers to the Office de la Main d’œuvre de Côte d’Ivoire in accordance with article 13, paragraph 7 of the present agreement.
